1AShinjuku Loft (Live performance club)
In the 24 years since its opening in 1976, Shinjuku Loft has been at the forefront of the music scene, a synonym for live performances by numerous well-known artistes. Reopened in new, enlarged premises in ShinjukuŐs Kabuki-cho in April 1999. Boasting both a main stage and a lounge stage, Shinjuku Loft offers a new way to enjoy music. 2AShimokitazawa Shelter (Live performance club)
Opened in 1991 in Shimokitazawa, the centre of the youth culture, Shimokitazawa Shelter shapes the unique eShimokitaf style music scene. Not only musicians awaiting their debut, but also many bands that have made it big, come to play at the Shelter; each night sees live performances of a quality expected at much larger venues. 3ALoft Plus One (Talk show live performance club)
Loft Plus One opened in 1995, as the worldŐs first talk-show live performance club, and has attracted the attention of the mass media as a spot in Shinjuku, the epicentre of sub-culture, where all ages can enjoy themselves. What makes the club special is the fact that performers come from all spheres: intellectuals, writers, commentators, musicians, aficionados, erotic performers and comedians to name a few. 4ATiger Hole (CD Shop)
The shop opened in 1995 in Nishi-Shinjuku, a Mecca for records, and carries a permanent stock of domestic and overseas Indies music. The shop also supports its own record label, the Tiger Hole Range, producing many records and CDs as well as staging events.

Number of visitors to 1-4 above: roughly 350,000 per year.

5 Rock of the Ages (Production of Live-Performance Events)
First held in 1997 at the Nippon Budokan as an event to mark the 20th anniversary of Shinjuku Loft, and held each year since at various venues including the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall.


6 Pink Moon (Productions)
Pink Moon scouts up-and-coming artistes performing at Shinjuku Loft and Shimokitazawa Shelter; promotes them into big artistes; and gives artistes the management they need. (for a list of managed artistes, see separate sheet)

7 Loft Records (Record Label)
Founded in 1997, Loft Records handles music releases and distribution for artistes mainly in the punk and garage scenes; and in partnership with Rock Records, also handles the release of Asian rock music. (Major productions: Mad3, Hong Kong Knife, King Brothers, O.Link, Not Rebound, etc.


8 Loft Books (Publishing)
Loft Books handles the compilation and publication of books with distinctive features, mainly in the spheres of Rock and Sub-culture; as well as the production of the Loft Project bulletin, Rooftop.
(Major productions: eRock is Loftf, eTalking Loftf, eHear the song of the traveller (Tabibito no uta wo kite kure)f, eWhat the textbooks don't tell you about Kobayashi Yoshinorif(Kyokasho ga oshienai Kobayashi Yoshinori)f, etc.

9 Loft Cinema (Video / Internet)
Loft Cinema handles the production of film, video and other visual material, as well as the production of Internet content, including the distribution of music and images.
(Major productions: 'The guy beloved of the gods' (Kamisama no airashi yatsu)' (film, starring Okuzaki Kenzo): 'A Complete and Practical Guide to Girl Hunting'(Kanzen Nanpa Jisshi Koza)' (video), etc.

10 Impact Shimoigusa
Impact Shimoigusa is managed as a recording and rehearsal studio.
